The Centre of Christian-Muslim Understanding & Partnership (CCMUP) took part in the “Salam Morabaa” festival held at the historic Senary house, Cairo, that brought together key civil society organizations engaged in peace-building across Egypt. The event, organized by the peace-building network “Salam Morabaa” provided a platform for showcasing impactful projects, holding workshops and fostering collaboration among peace-builders dedicated to promoting coexistence and mutual understanding.
Representing CCMUP at the festival were Mr. Kareem Gerges, Director of International Partnerships & Communications, and Mr. Ahmed Frenah, an art therapy consultant and dedicated volunteer at the Centre. The last part of the festival’s program included theatrical and musical performances, in which Mr. Kareem played the Piano with Dr. Dalia Ihab Younes, an independent artist.
Their participation highlighted the Centre’s ongoing efforts in peace-building initiatives and the role of creative and therapeutic approaches in fostering dialogue and social cohesion. The festival served as an opportunity to exchange experiences, explore new partnerships, and strengthen networks among organizations committed to sustainable peace in Egypt.
