A delegation from the Centre visited Al-Azhar University on August 20, 2024. The delegation included Bishop Dr. Mouneer Anis, Director of the Centre and Archbishop-Emeritus of the Anglican Province of Alexandria, Rev. Dr. Matthew Anderson, Director of Academic Studies at the Centre, Deacon Sameer Dawood, Research Fellow at the Centre, and Mr. Karim Girgis, Director of International Partnerships and Communications at the Centre.
During the visit, the delegation met with H.E. Dr. Salama Dawood, President of Al-Azhar University, and Dr. Mahmoud Seddik, Vice President of the University, and Dr. Mohamad Abu Zeid El-Amir, General Secretary of the House of the Egyptian Family, along with several university leaders and professors. The meeting focused on exploring ways of continuing and growing the current cooperation between the Centre and Al-Azhar University.
The delegation expressed its deep gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality from Al-Azhar University, looking forward to the continued growth of fruitful collaboration that strengthens the values of understanding, partnership, and peace in Egyptian society.
