Dr. Aly Elsamman Award for Peace & Dialogue

Dr. Aly Elsamman Award for Peace & Dialogue

The award is given to individuals, groups or organizations in recognition of their  literary, social, cultural works and community initiatives that promote peace, dialogue and cooperation between people from different faith and cultural backgrounds in Egypt & the region.

Projects that can be nominated are:

* Written publications (e.g. books and articles) on the topic of intercultural/interfaith relations. Eligible submissions should not be less than 6,000 words.

* Artistic works devoted to intercultural/interfaith relations (e.g. musical productions, films, plays, paintings, poetry, sculptures)

* Community initiatives that help build peace bridges between different faith communities.

All submissions should represent new or recent efforts at promoting interfaith/intercultural engagement that have been already successfully implemented or published.

The first prize is 50,000 EGP, the second prize is 30,000 EGP, the third prize is 20,000 EGP, in addition to the promotion of their projects.

The recipients of the awards shall be announced in a major ceremony on 30 January 2026.

The ceremony will be covered by the media, and will include renowned Egyptian and international officials and intellectuals representing the government, diplomatic missions, the private sector and civil-society.
